Location

Future generations can look forward to children’s dreams and skills being nourished with wisdom and tenderness. That was the idea behind the founding of Malayala Kalagramam (MAKAM) in the Kannur district’s New Mahe. A hub for creativity and ideas, its purpose is to give kids and teenagers a Kalari (stage) where they can practise and perform all kinds of fine arts. The centre offers both part-time and full-time training in yoga and Sanskrit, as well as courses in painting, sculpture, music, dance, and art ceramics. The Kalagramam Fraternity Center hosts seminars, symposia, extension lectures, in-service programmes, and special projects in a range of artistic and humanities-related subjects.

With the help of these studies, the trainees will be better able to incorporate art into their daily lives and become familiar with both traditional and modern trends and techniques in their various disciplines of art. They will also learn about art history and application. Art aficionados swarm here in this setting, which would pique anyone’s interest. An entire day spent here among the teachers, pupils, and fascinating library is incredibly enlightening. Guests are welcome to observe lessons with the Director’s prior approval.
